February 2024 - Learning about the Human Body
Today we learned about the different parts of the human body. We had great fun making an outline of one of the boys and then labeling the different body parts.
January 2024 - Baking Beetroot Brownies.
On Friday 26th January we baked brownies. Our brownies had a magic ingredient - BEETROOT!

We had a great time making them and took turns measuring, mixing and tasting the ingredients.
December 2023 - Merry Christmas from Clever Acorns
We have had a lovely time preparing for Christmas here in Clever Acorns. We have been making lovely Christmas Art and have also had a trip to the Christmas Market in Eyre Square which was great fun. We hope you like our photos of our time at the market.
November 2024 -Having fun in the playground!
We are so lucky to have a fabulous playground here at Merlin Woods, We try and get out to play and exercise in it whenever we can.
October 2023 - Inspired by Books
Here in Clever Acorns we use books as a source of inspiration for many of our activities, be it music, art, writing or PE. One of our favourite stories is “The Gruffalo” by Julia Donaldson.

September 2023 -Autumn in Clever Acorns
We are all enjoying being back at school and have been so busy leaning new things this year.
We have been focusing on Autumn the last few weeks and have been learning about all the changes that occur in Autumn. We have looked at how some trees leaves change colour and about the animals associated with Autumn . We’ve gone on nature walks and collected acorns, conkers and yellow, red and brown leaves. We have also made some beautiful pieces of Art based on all we have learnt.
